§ 17-23-16. Guaranteed access in exchange for contributions prohibited.
As defined in § 17-2-1, no general officer and no candidate for a general office shall solicit campaign contributions by guaranteeing to all contributors of a specified minimum amount of money, as a quid pro quo for their contributions, the right to meet with the general officer or candidate on a predetermined number of occasions. The phrase âthe right to meetâ shall not be construed to include the holding of a one time public fundraising event at which the general officer or candidate is present.
