R.I. Gen. Laws § 2-15-15
§ 2-15-15. Arrest and prosecution of violators.
Any police officer, sheriff or any employee of the department of environmental management having police powers may arrest a violator or violators of §§ 2-15-12 â 2-15-17 and cause him or her or them to be prosecuted before the proper court.
