R.I. Gen. Laws § 2-5-1
§ 2-5-1. Definitions.
When used in this chapter, the term:
(1) âDepartmentâ means the department of environmental management of the state of Rhode Island.
(2) âDirectorâ means the director of environmental management of the state of Rhode Island.
(3) âSecretary of agricultureâ means the secretary of agriculture of the United States.
(4) âSoil conservation and domestic allotment actâ means the federal soil conservation and domestic allotment act, 16 U.S.C. § 590a et seq.
