R.I. Gen. Laws § 20-1-5
§ 20-1-5. General enforcement powers.
The director, and the directorâs authorized agents, employees, and designees, shall protect the wild birds, wild animals, fisheries, and shellfisheries throughout the state and shall administer and enforce the provisions of this title, and the rules and regulations adopted pursuant to this title, and shall prosecute violations of these laws and rules and regulations.
