§ 35-8-4. Succession of sinking fund commission to previous board.
The sinking fund commission shall perform the duties prescribed by this chapter. Wherever in any general law, public law, or resolution of the general assembly, or in any document, record, instrument, or proceeding authorized by law or resolution, unless the context or subject matter otherwise requires, the words âboard of commissioners of sinking fundsâ or any reference to that board of commissioners appears, the words or reference shall be construed to mean the âsinking fund commissionâ created by this chapter, and wherever the words âstate budget director and comptrollerâ appear, they shall be construed to mean âdirector of administrationâ.
